Electrician

About the role

Working as part of our Defence Services team, you will undertake electrical inspections, testing, fault finding, maintenance, and reporting activities across a range of Defence facilities and assets. Travel throughout the NT may be required, with site allowances and accommodation provided where applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct electrical inspections, testing and compliance assessments

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities

• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and minor repairs

• Test and verify electrical installations and equipment

• Complete inspection reports, maintenance records and technical documentation

• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, Defence requirements and company procedures

• Liaise professionally with Defence stakeholders and site representatives

• Proactively seek opportunities for growth of work scopes within the Defence contract

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence

About you

• Current Northern Territory Electrical Licence

• Current White Card

• Current Driver's Licence

• Strong fault-finding and testing experience

• Sound knowledge of Australian electrical standards and safe work practices

• Ability to work independently and manage field-based activities

• Strong communication and reporting skills

• Professional, punctual and safety-focused approach

• Ability to travel to regional and remote locations when required

• Current DCAC and defence clearance highly regarded but not essential
