About the Role

Careva is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented People & Culture Business Partner to support our team across our CBG suite including, Careva, Therapy Care, Assist Disability Services and Spic N Span.

As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive work environment across all CBG brands, partnering with business leaders to align people and culture initiatives with business objectives. This position involves managing employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and a range of people and culture systems and reporting that keep the group running smoothly day to day.

This is a part-time role based at our Parramatta head office, working 3 days per week (5 hours per day), with hybrid working flexibility available following a 6-month review. Preferably between Monday to Wednesday.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders across CBG brands to align people and culture initiatives with business objectives and provide proactive, practical P&C advice.
• Coach and support leaders across the employee lifecycle, including people management, performance, conduct, development and workplace issues.
• Proactively manage employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and performance improvement plans.
• Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, development plans and supporting leaders to address performance concerns effectively.
• Support workforce planning, organisational design and people-related change initiatives across the business.
• Support leaders with recruitment, workforce planning and talent management, including role design, position descriptions and remuneration recommendations.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new employees, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.
• Manage and coordinate workers compensation claims, including return-to-work planning and liaison with GIO, QLD WorkCover and other relevant providers.
• Provide advice and support on employee wellbeing, workplace health and safety matters and psychosocial risk.
• Manage the Staff Bulletin and company-wide people communications distributed via email, Microsoft Teams and the Employment Hero announcement board.
• Prepare, analyse and distribute people reporting and insights using Employment Hero, PayCat and other relevant systems to support informed decision-making.
• Manage the delivery and reporting of Employee Engagement Surveys and support leaders to develop and implement meaningful actions from employee feedback.
• Support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing improvement of P&C systems, processes and technology.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, modern awards and relevant regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and addressing compliance risks.
• Develop, review and maintain P&C policies, procedures, templates and processes to ensure they remain compliant, practical and aligned with business needs.
• Support remuneration and salary review processes, including benchmarking, remuneration recommendations and annual review activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience, culture and people processes across the organisation and lead or support initiatives to deliver these improvements.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure P&C processes are delivered consistently across the business.
• Contribute to P&C projects and initiatives across the CBG brands as required.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a People & Culture Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or in a similar role for 3+ years.
• Strong understanding of people and culture best practices and employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align people and culture initiatives with business objectives.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities.
• Solid computer literacy, including comfort with cloud-based platforms such as Employment Hero and Kadence.
• Genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people across all CBG brands.

The following will also be required of successful applicants:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
