Senior Project Manager Community Projects

Employment Status: Permanent, full time
Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 7 - $114,501 - $128,270 p.a. (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home as projects allow

About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager works with stakeholders to lead and deliver end‑to‑end project management services for exciting and diverse public realm infrastructure and community-focused projects including playgrounds, open space, foreshore, sports and recreation and activity centre projects - from initiation through to completion.

You will be responsible for:

• Project Delivery - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality outcomes and in accordance with the Project Management Framework.
• Engage successfully with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Deliver projects successfully in accordance with contract conditions including all legislative requirements.
• OH&S - Ensure public realm infrastructure provides safe and healthy environments for all users and the public.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Landscape Architecture or relevant qualification or extensive industry experience.
• Extensive experience in planning and delivering complex public realm projects and capital work programs, including construction management.
• Experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement, preferred in a local government setting.
• Excellent skills and experience in stakeholder management (internal and external) with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, project sponsors, community groups and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously to deliver the projects within the Community Projects portfolio.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

• Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check. 
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Valid Construction White Card.
