Technical Team Lead

We are looking for a hands-on Tech Team Lead to guide a team of developers in Sydney working on our Performance platform. This is a 70% leadership / 30% hands-on role where you’ll set the tech direction, write code, mentor the team, and help us smarten up our dev workflows with modern AI tools with React.js, Node.js and AWS.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the team (70%): Own the tech roadmap, coach three awesome devs, partner with Product, and lead architectural decisions.Stay hands-on (30%): Write code, run code reviews, design APIs, and integrate modern systems across React, Node and AWS.Drive quality & delivery: Set high standards for our codebase, handle safe deployments, and jump in to solve complex tech issues when needed.Embrace AI-assisted dev: Lead how we safely use AI dev tools (like Claude Code/Codex) to speed up our builds without sacrificing quality.
What you bring:
Strong background in JavaScript / TypeScript (React frontend and/or Node backend).Solid architecture, API design, and web app security knowledge.Great communication skills and a passion for mentoring people.Good judgment when using AI dev tools to accelerate building.Bonus points: GraphQL experience.
