Account Representative - Industrial Distribution

We're seeking a motivated Account Manager to join our team in Dandenong. If you're passionate about sales, thrive on developing new business, and enjoy working with customers across a diverse range of industries, we'd love to hear from you.

As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and growing an established customer portfolio while actively pursuing new business opportunities. Working closely with our branch team and technical specialists, you'll provide customers with industry-leading industrial products and solutions that help keep their operations running efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Growing sales through a combination of account management and new business development.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Developing and executing a proactive sales call plan to maximise opportunities.
• Identifying customer needs and recommending value-added product and service solutions.
• Preparing quotations, following up opportunities, and negotiating successful outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with internal sales and branch teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and identifying opportunities for business growth.
• Achieving sales, margin and business development targets.

We're looking for someone who is motivated, customer-focused and enjoys being out in the field building relationships.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in external sales or account management, preferably within industrial distribution, engineering, manufacturing, mining or a related industry.
• A proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A results-driven attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage your own territory.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• A current driver's licence.
