About the role
AIM Mining Corporation is an emerging gold exploration and development company with big plans underway. We currently operate the Warrawoona Gold Project and are now ramping up operations at our Nullagine Gold Project, both in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Superintendent to join our team at Warrawoona and play a key role in shaping and supporting our safety-first culture on site.
Reporting to the OHS Manager, the OHS Superintendent will oversee the occupational health and safety function across the operation, providing practical guidance to site personnel and ensuring compliance with company, legislative and industry requirements.
The role will directly manage the OHS Advisors and Medic and Emergency Services Officers and work closely with operational and management teams.
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off | FIFO Perth to Marble Bar
Implement and maintain the company’s Safety Management System.
Support the OHS Manager with objectives, targets, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor, measure and report OHS performance across the operation and contractors.
Maintain OHS management system documentation and ensure legislative compliance.
Facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and OHS consultation.
Provide OHS guidance, coaching and mentoring to site personnel.
Manage the Hygiene Monitoring Program.
Support contractor prequalification and selection processes.
Complete required OHS reporting through SRS.
Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, Codes of Practice and industry standards.
You will be an experienced OHS professional with:
Diploma in WHS / OHS or similar.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or resources.
ICAM Lead Investigator qualification.
Lead Auditor – OHS Management Systems qualification.
Cert IV in Pre-Hospital Health Care.
Apply First Aid certification.
Experience with emergency response management is desirable.
Strong knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in the OHS function of a Western Australian gold operation.
