Early Childhood Teacher and Diploma Qualified Educator

About the role

First Steps is seeking dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher and a Diploma qualified Educator to join our team in Killarney QLD 4373. These are part-time positions offering between 15 to 37 hours per week, with flexible working conditions, that will see you play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of young children.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and implement engaging educational programs that support the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children

• Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure their safety and wellbeing

• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on children's progress and address any concerns

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education

• Qualified Early Childhood Teacher

• Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning and implementation, and relevant legislation and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences

• A current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate
