Experienced 2D / 3D AutoCAD Draftsperson

A1 Custom Stainless & Kitchens Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated business based in Brisbane's north-side suburb of Burpengary.

We are seeking an experienced 2D / 3D AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor Draftsperson or qualified cadet to produce detailed drawings that include product dimensions, required materials and fabrication procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use Autodesk Inventor or similar to draft designs, workshop drawings and architectural installation layouts.

• Use and knowledge of 3D Scanner and related software to import scanner data is highly desirable. 

• Prepare workshop drawings for the factory based on supplied specifications and dimensions.

• Liaise with stake holders in preparation and production of product and site specific detail drawings.

• Liaise with factory staff in preparation and production of product drawings to assist with fabrication and tool pathing for company CNC Laser cutter.

• Revise and update current and new workshop and product drawings of company's standard product range.

• Create, update and maintain drawing register for projects.

• Continual maintenance of file management system. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Background in metal fabrication will be highly regarded.    

• Proficient use of 2D / 3D Autodesk Products is essential.

• Proficient with Inventor/Autocad 2/3d is essential.

• Certification in drafting or computer graphics from an accredited tertiary education institution.

• At least 2 years related work experience is desirable.

• Experience with architectural drawings and features.

• Must be knowledgeable about current construction materials and building practices.

• Can read and interpret constructions plans and produce presentation drawings.

• Familiar with NCC 2022 and Australian Standards for balustrades and fences.

• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and all other computer software.

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to deliver without constant supervision.
