About the Role

We're looking for someone who brings a strong knowledge of ceremonial, engagement and bespoke jewellery: a deep understanding of gemstones, alloys, and ring design, and the confidence to guide clients through one of the most meaningful purchases of their lives. This is your area of specialism, and the focus of this role, as we grow this side of the business.

You'll be joining a small, close-knit Paddington team, where you're expected to contribute across the full client base and collection, not just engagement pieces. Ceremonial & engagement purchases are where you'll bring the most depth and value, but the role is a genuine, all-round part of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement & Bespoke Jewellery

• Conduct personalised in-store and virtual appointments for clients exploring cermonial, engagement and bespoke pieces.

• Engage with clients to understand and clarify their vision for a bespoke Temple design.

• Provide accurate, transparent quotes and clearly communicate pricing and process.

• Apply your extensive knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, alloys and settings to guide client decisions.

• Collaborate with the Inventory Manager and Product Development Manager to help bring client ideas to life and confirm availability of materials.

• Maintain thoughtful, consistent communication with clients throughout their journey, keeping them updated on production progress.

• Keep accurate client records in our CRM, working with the wider team on timelines and handovers.

Customer Experience & Sales (All Clients)

• Deliver consistently high-level, personalised service aligned with the Temple of the Sun brand, across our full range and client base.

• Build genuine rapport with every customer, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and inspired.

• Share the story, craftsmanship, and meaning behind our collections with confidence and passion.

• Support individual and store sales targets through exceptional, relationship-driven service.

• Present product knowledge with storytelling, confidence, and attention to detail.

• Uphold visual merchandising and brand presentation standards at all times.

Store Operations

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with stock handling, replenishment, and general store upkeep.

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and a beautiful store environment.

• Please note the roster will include weekend and public holiday work.

• The role can be part-time or full-time - candidate dependent.

About You

• Experience in jewellery retail is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role within jewellery or the broader luxury industry.

• Existing knowledge of fine jewellery, gemstones, diamonds, and ring design.

• Comfortable guiding clients through emotional, considered purchases with empathy and confidence.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read the room, adapting your tone and approach to each individual customer.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, able to manage multiple client projects at once.

• A polished, warm, and confident presence on the sales floor.

• Availability to work part-time shifts, including weekends and peak trade periods.

Preferred

• Prior experience with CAD or custom design processes.

• Familiarity with CIN7, Shopify, Excel, or project tools such as Slack or Monday.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
