About the role

Wangara Tyreright PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and reliable Tyrefitter to join our team on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This is a hands-on role based in Wangara, WA 6065, where you will be at the forefront of our operations, delivering high-quality tyre fitting and vehicle maintenance services to our valued customers. As a Tyrefitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our facility is safe, well-maintained, and meets the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the automotive trades industry.

Key responsibilities

• Fitting, removing and balancing tyres on a variety of vehicles using industry-standard equipment and tools

• Performing routine vehicle maintenance tasks including wheel alignments, tyre rotations and inspections

• Diagnosing tyre-related issues and identifying when tyres or other components require replacement or repair

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

• Interacting professionally with customers, providing advice on tyre options, maintenance schedules and best practices for vehicle care

• Recording work completed accurately and maintaining detailed service records for each vehicle

• Assisting with stock management and ensuring adequate supplies of tyres and equipment are available

• Adhering to all workplace safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Tyrefitter or similar automotive role within the trades and services industry

• Strong technical knowledge of tyre fitting procedures, wheel balancing and vehicle maintenance practices

• Proficiency in operating tyre fitting equipment and other automotive tools safely and effectively

• A valid Australian driver's licence and a clean driving record

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly

• Physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, lifting and handling heavy items

• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards work and teamwork

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive trades or tyre fitting (desirable)

• Experience with point-of-sale systems or service management software (advantageous)
