Tradesman Painter – Full-Time | Relocate To the NT

NuLook Painting is looking for an high preforming Tradesman Painter to join our team delivering quality work across some of the most unique remote locations in Northern Australia.

We specialise in projects many others won’t take on; cattle stations, iconic roadhouses, outback pubs, tourist attractions, roof restorations, private properties and large scale repaint works.

This opportunity suits someone who takes pride in their trade, works with urgency, leads by example, holds themselves to a high standard, and wants to be part of a respected team known for delivering quality work.

Important: Read Before Applying

This is a permanent full-time role with ongoing work, not a FIFO roster.

Our work involves travel to remote locations for project then returning to base or taking planned leave between jobs where schedules allow.

We can work well with interstate employees, but we are looking for people who want a genuine long-term position and are prepared to commit to the role.

If you are chasing short-term swing work, filling time between FIFO jobs, or unsure about bush work, this role likely won’t suit you.

The Work

Projects include:

• Cattle station repaints and new works

• Roadhouses, pubs hospitality sites

• Commercial and residential painting

• Roof restorations

• Building maintenance and remedial works

• Plaster repairs

• High levels of surface preparation and finishing

Some work is based in Katherine, with regular travel across remote NT and WA locations.

What The Role Requires

This is hands on work and at times involves:

• Long days in hot and remote conditions

• Travel and time away from home

• Working closely with a small crew

• Maintaining quality standards under pressure

• Being reliable and productive every day

This role suits self-motivated tradesmen who do not need babysitting.

This role is not suited to passengers, excuse makers, or people needing constant supervision.

What We Need

• Trade qualified painter with a high level of skill across all aspects of preparation, application and finishing

• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience highly regarded

• White Card

• Open Driver licence

• The ability to pass a police check

• Must be able to consistently produce top quality work efficiently and unsupervised

• Good communication and attitude

• Reliable habits and punctuality

• Physically fit and capable

• Team mindset

Highly regarded:

• EWP licence

• Working with children clearance

• LR truck licence

• Leading hand / supervisory experience
