Accountant/ Experienced Bookkeeper

Kellow Parbery Accountants are seeking a full-time enthusiastic accountant or experienced bookkeeper to join the accounting team in our Bega office.

The ideal candidate would have an eye for detail and inquisitive mindset, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Formal qualifications preferred, but consideration will be given if you are currently undertaking professional studies or have previous experience in the taxation industry.

Working as a key member of the team, your role will include but is not limited to:

• Data entry, coding bank transactions and prepare reconciliations, using various accounting software packages

• Preparation of workpapers, financial statements and tax returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Individuals.

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and Annual GST Returns.

• Liaising with Clients, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other stakeholders.

We are looking for a team member who will ideally:

• Have accounting experience within public practice

• Be motivated to build lasting relationships with clients. 

• Have practical experience with cloud accounting products (i.e. Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon) and strong excel skills.

• Maintain strong attention to detail and have analytical skills

• Have an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
