Mature-Age Electrical Apprentice | 2nd or 3rd Year | $28/hour

We're looking for a mature-age electrical apprentice, preferably in their 2nd or 3rd year, to join our growing Gold Coast team.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced electricians across high-end residential, solar, commercial and smart-home projects, gaining practical experience across a broad range of electrical work.

The Opportunity

Our work is predominantly high-end residential, with projects across some of the Gold Coast's most sought-after locations.

Your upcoming projects include a 12+ month high-end residential project on Sovereign Island, along with further projects across:

• Hope Island

• Surfers Paradise

• Main Beach

• Broadbeach

• Mermaid Beach

• Palm Beach

• Currumbin

• Currumbin Valley

You'll work alongside experienced electricians and have exposure to a variety of electrical installations, from rough-in through to fit-off and specialised systems.

What You'll Learn & Work On

Depending on the project, you'll gain experience in:

• Residential electrical rough-in and fit-off

• Reading electrical plans

• Final sub-circuits, mains and sub-mains

• Data, security and coaxial cabling

• Testing and fault-finding

• Solar electrical work

• C-Bus and smart-home automation wiring

• CCTV and intercom systems

• Generator and ATS systems

• Working with other trades on high-end construction sites

• Using SimPRO for daily job documentation

You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across different areas of the electrical industry rather than being limited to one type of work.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Currently undertaking an Electrical Apprenticeship

• Preferably 2nd or 3rd year

• Mature and reliable approach to work

• Good communication skills

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Pride in your work and attention to detail

• Professional presentation and attitude

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Current driver's licence

• Own reliable transport

Previous electrical experience outside of your apprenticeship is highly regarded.

We're particularly interested in someone who is looking to build a long-term career in the electrical industry and continue developing their skills beyond their apprenticeship.

• $28/hour + super

• Minimum 38 hours Monday–Friday between 6am and 4pm, with an early finish on Fridays
