Head of P&C Pacific

The Role

• Define and execute the long-term growth strategy for the Corporate P&C segment across the Pacific region, aligning business priorities with global objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, succession planning, and continuous development.
• Drive the segment’s financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, budget management, and operational efficiency.
• Act as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor to key corporate clients, strengthening relationships and delivering tailored risk and insurance solutions.
• Build and maintain influential relationships with C-suite executives, boards, risk managers, and senior decision-makers.
• Provide strategic advice by translating complex risk challenges into commercially relevant solutions that support client objectives.
• Drive client retention and organic growth through relationship management, cross-selling opportunities, and proactive advisory services.
• Lead complex negotiations and influence outcomes with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
• Champion client interests while balancing commercial, technical, and market considerations to achieve sustainable outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

• Deliver revenue growth, profitability, and new business objectives across the Corporate P&C portfolio.
• Maintain exceptional client retention rates and client satisfaction outcomes across key corporate accounts.
• Foster a high-performing and engaged team culture, with a focus on talent development, retention, succession planning, and diversity.
• Strengthen market presence by driving sustainable growth, deepening client relationships, and enhancing the firm's reputation in the corporate segment.

The Requirements

• Extensive experience within a major global insurance broker or leading corporate underwriting organisation, with a strong track record managing complex Property & Casualty portfolios.
• Proven success leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams across Australia, fostering collaboration, engagement, and talent development.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing significant P&L responsibilities, driving revenue growth, and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead executive-level negotiations with insurers, clients, and key stakeholders while balancing commercial and client objectives.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with C-suite executives, boards, and senior decision-makers.
• A client-focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate complex business environments, and deliver strategic advice that drives value.
• Tier 1 ASIC Compliance (RG146) is essential. An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Law is highly regarded; an MBA or professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF Fellow, ACII) is preferred.
