As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Designer to join our expanding Technical Team.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the construction and manufacturing sectors. You will collaborate closely with Technical Designers, Project Teams, and the Commercial Sales team to develop practical, buildable solutions from concept through to production.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll apply your knowledge of metal fabrication, manufacturing processes, and technical detailing to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and detail architectural building products and custom fabrication solutions across a range of industries and project types
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation documentation and manufacturing details
• Interpret architectural, technical, and shop drawings accurately
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and production staff
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
• Provide regular project updates and maintain accurate revision control
• Apply practical manufacturing and fabrication knowledge to improve design outcomes

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong technical capability and a practical understanding of manufacturing processes. You can autonomously manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.

You will also bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a design, drafting, engineering role or building products role (Facades, Shrouds, Screens, Planter boxes, Balustrade etc.)
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino or similar)
• Experience in sheet metal design and metal fabrication
• Knowledge of facade, cladding, architectural metalwork or building envelope systems highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and fabrication drawings
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturability principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
• Hands-on approach with a practical mindset
