Welder

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Level 2 Welder / Tradesperson to join our team in Balcatta (workshop based).

Working within our Workshop Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding, fabrication and pipefitting services to support a diverse range of projects across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy and Industrial sectors. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to further develop your technical skills while working alongside a highly experienced team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Welding in accordance with ASME IX and AS 3992 using GTAW processes in 1-6G positions with non-ferrous and alloy consumables.

• Complete welds in accordance with supplied welding procedures and quality requirements.

• General pipefitting, fabrication and workshop duties.

• Follow all Score Group safety, quality and environmental procedures.

• Be available to work overtime, weekends and night shifts as required to meet client requirements.

• Attend client site shutdowns and emergency breakdown repairs as required and assist in mentoring apprentices and other personnel.

The successful candidate must have:

• A recognised Australian or accredited Welding Trade Certificate.

• Ability to pass a 6G GTAW weld test

• Previous welding and fabrication experience.

• The right to work within Australia (sponsorship is not available for this role).

• A strong commitment to safety and quality.

• A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team.

• A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training opportunities.

• Ability to read Isometric drawings

The following is preferred but not required:

• Current Confined Space certification.

• Current Working at Heights certification.

• Manual Driver's Licence.

• Previous experience welding exotic alloys, austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, duplex and super duplex materials using correct purging techniques.

• Previous site-based maintenance or shutdown experience.
