Lead One of Queensland's Most Influential Geotechnical Businesses

WSP is seeking an exceptional executive leader to lead and grow our Queensland Geotechnical business.

With responsibility for a successful and growing team spanning Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and our Global Collaboration Centres, this role sits at the intersection of business leadership, client engagement and technical excellence. You'll guide the performance and growth of a market-leading business while contributing to some of Queensland's most significant infrastructure, development and resources projects.

The Opportunity

As Regional Executive – Geotechnical (Queensland), you will lead a business of 70+ professionals, play a key role in shaping the future of WSP's Geotechnical & Tunnels business nationally, and help to define the future direction of Australia's leading geotechnical business.

You will be a key member of the Geotechnical & Tunnels Leadership team, responsible for business performance, strategic growth, operational delivery, client relationships, people leadership, and fostering a culture where safety, collaboration, innovation and technical excellence thrive.

Working closely with executive leaders across WSP, you will identify market opportunities, strengthen client partnerships, lead high-profile pursuits and help position WSP as the consultant of choice for complex geotechnical challenges across Queensland.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the strategic direction and performance of WSP's Queensland Geotechnical business.
• Driving sustainable growth through client engagement, market development and key pursuits.
• Leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple offices and delivery locations.
• Building strong relationships with major clients, industry stakeholders and market influencers.
• Embedding a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and technical excellence.
• Overseeing financial performance, workforce planning, operational delivery and risk management.
• Contributing to the national Geotechnical & Tunnels Leadership Team and broader Earth & Environment and WSP objectives.

About You

You are an experienced business leader with a strong reputation in the geotechnical, engineering consulting or related sectors.

You bring:

• Demonstrated leadership experience within engineering consulting, infrastructure or project delivery environments.
• A proven ability to promote a positive team culture, grow businesses, lead large teams and deliver strong financial outcomes.
• An established and visible presence in the Queensland market with exceptional client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong commercial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, work winning and business planning.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and embracing collaboration.
• A degree in Engineering, Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.
• Established industry networks and market credibility within Queensland or comparable markets.
