Accounts Receivable Team Leader

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join a large, commercially driven organisation with a broad market presence and a complex, multi-entity structure.

The role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities across multiple entities while reviewing the work of the wider team and ensuring key deadlines and KPIs are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing AR ledgers across multiple entities

• Leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of a small AR team

• Reconciling bank statements and matching deposits to the accounting system

• Investigating and resolving discrepancies between banked amounts and system reports

• Maintaining debtor balances within agreed KPI levels

• Preparing accurate ad hoc invoices as required

• Responding to receivables queries from internal and external stakeholders

• Supporting month-end close, including journals and reconciliations

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies across the AR function

• Working closely with stakeholders across a large and commercially focused organisation

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Strong hands on accounts receivable and reconciliations experience

• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising a small team

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• A proactive, organised and inquisitive approach to problem solving

• The confidence to take ownership and drive work through to completion

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Experience working with ERP systems

• Experience within a large, multi-entity or multi-divisional AR environment will be highly regarded
