Boilermaker/Welder

The Drake Group, an industry leading organisation that continues to drive innovation, with a focus on excellence, quality and service. We are now accepting applications from experienced Boilermakers to join our talented Fabrication and Pre Fit Teams based at our Wacol site.

Our expertise extends into the service, repair, and overhaul of heavy haulage trailers. We are the leaders in heavy haulage, with a reputation for being the best at what we do.

As a Boilermaker, you will have a passion for precision and an eye for detail. Responsible for the fabrication of heavy haulage trailers and components, you will be able to confidently interpret engineering drawings, accurately measure and cut materials, and have a strong understanding of different welding techniques. 

Your key responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble trailers in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications 

• Carry out cutting, punching, rolling, bending, drilling and welding of steel products

• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process

• Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety within the workshop

• Ensure precision and accuracy in all fabrication processes to meet quality standards

 
 What we are looking for: 

• Boilermaker Trade Qualification (or similar) 

• Previous experience in the heavy manufacturing industry 

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
