Allcare Support Services is looking for compassionate, committed people to join our team. We have multiple opportunities available for Disability Support Workers (DSWs) who are passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives.

We are currently recruiting for Personal Care and Hoisting homes.

About the Roles

Disability Support Workers (DSWs)

DSWs support participants in their homes and the community, helping them build independence, achieve personal goals, and enjoy a safe, supportive environment. You’ll work closely with participants to provide daily living support, social engagement, and high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Disability Support Workers

·         Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.

·         Follow Allcare Support Services policies, procedures, and participant support plans (including Positive Behaviour Support Plans).

·         Support participants to work toward their individual goals.

·         Build meaningful connections and assess participant needs.

·         Provide social support and assist with community participation.

·         Transport participants to appointments as required.

·         Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and household duties.

·         Maintain accurate documentation (shift notes, behaviour reports, medication records, incident reports).

·         Assist with medication administration.

·         Complete cleaning tasks as per site requirements.

·         Escalate concerns to House Senior, Team Leader, or on‑call staff when needed.

Mandatory Requirements

·         Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Community Services

·         Current First Aid & CPR

·         Current Australian Driver Licence

·         Current NDIS Worker Screening

·         Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

·         Current Blue Card

·         Smart phone for accessing required apps

Preferred Requirements

·         Behaviour support experience

·         Assist Clients with Medication qualification (DSWs)

Rates of Pay

We pay under the SCHADS Award – Community Services stream. DSW’s commence at Level 2.1 Casual
