Because seeing clients is only one part of working independently. There’s also admin, bookings, billing, marketing, referrals, software, systems, accounting, rooms and all the other hats you end up wearing outside your billable hours.

What We Offer

$106–$152 Per Session + Superannuation

Earn $106–$152 per client session, depending on the service stream, plus superannuation.

15 client sessions per week can provide earnings comparable to some traditional 38-hour employed roles.

And you can structure those hours in a way that works for you.

Prefer to work fewer, fuller days? You might choose to see 5–7 clients a day across 2–3 days per week.

Prefer shorter days spread across the week? That works too.

Want to see more clients and work more days and increase your earning potential? You can do that.

You choose your days, your hours and the size of your caseload.

Established Referrals

We’ve spent six years building strong relationships with GPs, workplaces, insurers, allied health professionals and the Townsville community, resulting in consistent referral demand.

Full Administration Support

Our admin team supports client enquiries, onboarding, bookings, reminders, billing and day-to-day clinic operations.

Less unpaid admin. Fewer hats to wear. More time back.

No Practice Overheads to Manage

Consulting rooms, administration, practice management systems, technology, telehealth capability, AI-assisted documentation tools and clinic resources are provided.

You can finish your clinical day without starting another unpaid shift managing everything behind it.

Condense your clinical work into 2–3 days, spread your sessions across the week, or build a larger caseload if that’s what you want.

About Deep Speak

Deep Speak is an established trauma-focused private practice supporting adolescents and adults aged 15+.

Trauma treatment sits at the heart of what we do. We have a particular interest in EMDR and work with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, workplace injuries, relationship challenges, life transitions and other mental health presentations.

Over the past six years, we’ve built a strong reputation for quality, evidence-based therapy within the Townsville community.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking Psychologists or Accredited Mental Health Social Workers who:

• Deliver high-quality, client-centred therapy

• Enjoy autonomy while still valuing connection with a team

• Want to develop and maintain a healthy caseload

• Value evidence-based practice and professional development

• Have an interest in trauma and EMDR, or are keen to develop these skills

• Can provide face-to-face sessions in Townsville and/or telehealth*

*Most of our current referrals prefer face-to-face appointments.

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker status through AASW

• Medicare provider eligibility

• Professional indemnity insurance

• Strong assessment, formulation and risk-management skills

• Australian working rights

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
