Yard Driver

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a Yard Driver to join our operations team at Rocke Brothers in Tottenham, Victoria. In this role, you will support the day-to-day yard operations by safely moving and preloading trailers, completing yard and equipment checks, and ensuring the yard remains organised and safe. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure the efficient movement of containers and equipment across the site. This is a permanent full-time position, with working hours aligned to operational requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Operate a tug to safely move and preload trailers within the yard
• Complete regular yard checks to ensure equipment and operational areas are safe and maintained
• Conduct reefer and Dangerous Goods (DG) checks in accordance with company requirements
• Maintain general tidiness and organisation of the yard and equipment
• Assist with the movement and delivery of containers to site when required
• Follow all company safety, compliance and operational procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, warehouse or yard environment
• Experience operating a tug, yard truck or similar equipment is desirable
• HC License required 
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
