ROOF PLUMBER/Gutter installer

About the role

West Coast Trade Services is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber to join our team on a contract basis. This is a hands-on position based in Perth, WA 6000, where you will be responsible for installing Gutters, downpipes and general roof maintenance.

Key responsibilities

1. Install, repair, and maintain guttering, downpipes, flashings, and roof drainage systems on residential and commercial properties

2. Inspect roof plumbing systems to identify leaks, damage, or areas requiring maintenance or replacement

3. Measure, cut, and fit roof plumbing materials including metals, plastics, and other appropriate materials

4. Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations

5. Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction teams to coordinate roof plumbing work on projects

6. Provide accurate quotations and communicate with clients regarding work scope and timelines

7. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and follow safe work practices at all times

8. Document work completed and maintain clear records for project management purposes

What we're looking for

1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in roof plumbing installation and repair work

2. Proficiency in working with various roof plumbing materials and systems

3. Strong knowledge of building codes, Australian Standards, and relevant safety regulations

4. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

6. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions

7. Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

8. Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer service

9. Proven track record of working safely and maintaining a clean, organised work site

10. Experience with commercial roofing projects would be advantageous
