If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join the ABC International Marketing and Comms team to manage and implement communications for ABC International Development and showcase the impact of its media development work and partnerships across the Indo-Pacific.

As Communications Manager, you'll drive and deliver ABCID's internal and external Communications Plan, providing strategic communications leadership across a diverse portfolio of development programs. You'll work across digital channels, corporate communications, storytelling and stakeholder engagement, collaborating with teams and partners in Australia and across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee and deliver the development, implementation and reporting of ABCID's Communications Plan across its portfolio of media development programs.
• Manage ABCID's external and internal communications channels, including its website, social media, intranet, newsletters, presentations and briefing materials.
• Develop compelling stories and multiplatform content that showcase ABCID's work, its partners and the impact of programs across the Indo-Pacific.
• Build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, development partners and donors, representing ABCID and supporting effective communications across diverse and cross-cultural environments.
• Contribute to corporate reporting, strategic planning, project proposals and business development opportunities, including communications risk and crisis management.
• Coordinate communications contributions from geographically dispersed teams, ensuring high-quality work is delivered effectively and to deadline.

What You'll Bring

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills, knowledge and experience in communications and journalism required, with media development experience not compulsory but desirable
• Significant experience leading the development, implementation and reporting of communications strategies across complex programs or portfolios.
• Strong experience across internal and external communications, including risk management and crisis communications.
• Outstanding written, verbal, stakeholder and partnership management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and work effectively across cultures.
• Understanding of the Australian aid program, particularly in the Indo-Pacific, with experience working with development donors.
• Demonstrated ability to work strategically and coordinate contributions from geographically dispersed teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in digital and online publishing, report formatting, graphic design, basic video editing and social media management necessary

• Commitment to abide by the Australian Government's Preventing Sexual Exploitation and Harassment policies.
• A current Working with Children Check/police clearance and ongoing renewal and maintenance of this clearance in accordance with relevant legislation.
