We are looking for an experienced and trade-qualified Vehicle Spray Painter to join our professional paint shop team at Altona North.

About the Role

As a Vehicle Spray Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paint finishes while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Applying primers, sealers, basecoats and clearcoats to a high standard
• Preparing surfaces through sanding, priming and minor damage repairs
• Colour matching and achieving consistent, quality finishes
• Identifying and correcting paint defects and completing touch-ups
• Performing minor paint repairs and buffing
• Working collaboratively with the team to meet scheduled workloads
• Operating, cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment
• Maintaining a safe, clean and professional work environment

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their craft and is committed to getting the job done right.

You will have:

• Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing
• Proven experience as an Automotive Spray Painter
• Colour matching experience
• Experience working with water-based paint systems
• Strong minor paint repair and buffing skills
• PDR experience and capability highly regarded
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet operational demand
• A reliable, honest and positive work ethic
• A valid, unrestricted Australian driver's licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
