Part-Time Storeperson

About the role

Automated Control is seeking a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Storeperson to join our small and experienced team in Beresfield.

This is a hands-on and varied role supporting the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and stores. You will be responsible for receiving and despatching goods, picking and packing customer orders, maintaining accurate stock levels and keeping our warehouse organised and efficient.

This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around start and finish times.

The position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and enjoys being part of a friendly, professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and unpack incoming deliveries.

• Accurately receipt, label and put away incoming stock.

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for despatch.

• Check goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.

• Arrange and process outgoing freight and deliveries.

• Maintain accurate warehouse stock levels and locations.

• Assist with stocktakes and inventory checks.

• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse.

• Liaise with our sales and administration team regarding customer orders and deliveries.

• Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and freight companies when required.

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good organisational and time-management skills.

• Basic to intermediate computer skills and confidence learning new software.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

• A reliable and positive approach to work.

• The ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with receiving, picking, packing and storing goods.

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, inventory or despatch role is essential.

Experience with industrial, electrical or automation products would be advantageous but is not essential.
