Your Role: Field Service Team Lead
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Field Service Team Lead to join the Scylla Maintenance Team, working on the Collins Class Submarines. In this role, you’ll oversees all maintenance, repair, and operational activities across dedicated customer sites and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) platforms. This critical role ensures that high-value equipment in both submarine and land-based environments operates smoothly and reliably.
Additionally, you will support the Ship Repair Services domain, delivering technical expertise and maintenance for electronics and weapons systems across Western Australia (WA).
This is a permanent opportunity based out of Rockingham, WA.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance and repair activities on Collins Class Submarines.
Deliver all engineering tasks safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Enforce strict RAN military protocols and workplace safety mandates.
Act as the primary escalation point for field issues.
Review technical documentation to optimize future maintenance planning.
Mentor the team through hands-on, on-the-job training.
Report operational status, emerging risks, and defects to management.
Foster a collaborative, professional, and high-performing team culture.
Execute delegated management tasks, resource allocation, and customer meetings.
Support inventory logistics and drive LEAN continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Skills:
An Electronic/Electrical Engineering Diploma or An electrical trade with relevant experience
Australian citizenship
NV1 and ITAR clearance
Supervision/Leadership experience of maintenance activities in local and remote locations.
4 + years’ experience in fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of complex equipment and systems
A proven track record in quality assurance
