Qualified Lead Carpenter

About the role

Immakulate Constructions is seeking a driven individual to take the role of Qualified Lead Carpenter and join our dynamic team. This full-time role will be based in Warragul, VIC 3820; playing a pivotal part in the successful delivery of our diverse and unique construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of carpenters to complete projects within timeframes and to specification

• Inspect and quality-check all carpentry work to ensure it meets company and industry standards

• Liaise with tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery

• Record and retain relevant information

• Liaise with site supervisors and project managers

• Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced carpenters

• Foster an atmosphere of growth and excellence

• Quality control and task delegation for all carpenters onsite

• Assist with detailing of transitions and finishes

About you

• Relevant experience as a carpenter

• Exceptional carpentry skills, and the ability to read and interpret plans, project documentation and technical drawings

• Strong problem-solving, time management and decision-making skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to complex challenges

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and tradespeople

• Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices

• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in carpentry

• Ability to manage own efficiency in task completion and direction, including training and supervision of others
