The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Regional Contract Manager to lead our cleaning operations across the Mt Isa region, spanning mining and commercial worksites. This is a residential, hands‑on role where you will take ownership of client relationships, contract performance, workforce planning and safety/compliance across the region.

Reporting to the General Manager – QLD, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, developing strong client partnerships, leading and mentoring our site leadership team, and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality and service delivery.

This role is ideal for an experienced operational leader who enjoys building strong client relationships, developing high‑performing teams and being actively involved in day‑to‑day operations on site.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for key client representatives across the Mt Isa region.

• Ensure contract obligations, service standards and KPIs are consistently met across all sites.

• Lead monthly performance reporting and regular operational and safety audits (including use of SafetyCulture).

• Partner with the Site Managers to identify operational improvements and implement practical solutions.

• Oversee onboarding, inductions and training to ensure compliance with site and company requirements.

• Provide leadership, coaching and support to Site Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders.

• Manage AFS assets, equipment and vehicles and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction within budget.

About you

You are an experienced operational leader with a proven ability to manage large service contracts within demanding industrial or mining environments. You enjoy developing people, building trusted client relationships and leading teams to deliver exceptional service outcomes.

We are looking for:

• Experience in contract management or regional operations management, ideally within cleaning, facilities management or mining services.

• Proven ability to manage multiple sites or contracts, with strong stakeholder and client relationship skills.

• Solid understanding of WHS and environmental compliance, ideally in a mining or heavy industrial context.

• Demonstrated experience leading supervisors and frontline teams, including coaching and workforce planning.

• Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing labour, budgets and contract KPIs.

• Confidence using digital systems and reporting tools (e.g. SafetyCulture, MS Office, rostering/time & attendance platforms).

• A proactive, hands‑on approach with the willingness to work alongside operational teams when required.

• Current Queensland Driver Licence (essential).
