Xtracare Equipment is a family-owned South Australian business that has been providing assistive technology solutions within the disability sector for over 20 years.

Our small, friendly team works closely together to meet and exceed our clients' goals. We specialise in complex equipment, including custom manual and power wheelchairs, seating solutions, and other assistive technology for adults and children.

We've recently moved into brand-new, custom-built premises including state of the art showroom, warehouse, workshop and staff amenities. It's a great time to come on board and be part of our next chapter.

We are currently seeking a full time team member to join our close knit maintenance and technical team.

Who We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from applicants who have existing skills or experience in a hands-on trade such as those listed below. If you don't have any experience but are keen to learn any of these skills we're also interested to hear from you.

• Welding

• Mechanical repairs or fabrication

• Motor trimming

• Auto electrics

• Upholstery or commercial sewing

• Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a range of equipment – including manual and power wheelchairs and other assistive technology

• Assembling and modifying equipment to suit individual client needs

• One-off design light fabrication as directed

• Basic sewing of cushion covers, neoprene components, and related items

• Assisting with auto-electrical work – such as wiring, lights, and battery systems

• Performing occasional deliveries, collections, and on-site servicing with clients

• Collaborating with our techs, admin team, and customers to solve problems and deliver great outcomes

• Australian citizenship is required for this position

• Mechanical, automotive, or fabrication experience – or similar hands-on trade background

• Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment

• Willingness to learn new skills – like basic upholstery, electrical repairs, or mobility equipment assembly

• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing a job properly

• A friendly, respectful attitude – we work closely with vulnerable clients

• A current driver's licence
