Dietitian - Nutritionist

Temporary full time and part time opportunities to deliver nutrition and dietetics clinical services to patients of the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals and other sites within Metro North, and to other stakeholders/ customers of the Department of Dietetics & Food Services and Queensland Health.

About the role

Temporary full time and part time opportunities to deliver high level nutrition and dietetic clinical services to patients across the continuum of care, within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Utilise evidence-based practice to apply knowledge and skills that facilitate novel, complex, critical discipline specific or multi-disciplinary decisions, under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior clinicians.
• Proportionate to the level of experience, assist in the development and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the dietetics and food services work areas, using the principles of evidence-based practice.
• Liaise with Dietetic Assistants and provide direction where appropriate with respect to screening for malnutrition, and organising and monitoring patient's nutrition support to ensure a high quality nutrition service.
• Provide education, direction and supervision of routine tasks to less experienced staff, students, food service and support staff, and other health professionals with the support of senior staff. Where appropriate, act as primary supervisor for student training.
