Ocean Infinity is seeking expressions of interest for Graduate Hydrographic Surveyors to join our APAC Solutions business unit in Hobart, Australia. This graduate-level role supports the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale hydrographic survey projects, predominantly across Australia and New Zealand, with opportunities to gain experience on Ocean Infinity projects worldwide.
As a Graduate Hydrographic Surveyor, you will become immersed in Ocean Infinity’s survey team and develop practical competence across the survey lifecycle. You will work under the direction of experienced Hydrographic Surveyors, Surveyors in Charge and project leaders, contributing to safe operations, reliable data acquisition, project records, data checks, processing support and preparation of client deliverables.
The role is suited to a curious, safety-focused and detail-oriented graduate who is excited to help push the boundaries of offshore technology, learn from experienced survey professionals and build capability through innovation, hands-on experience and continuous improvement.
This graduate role is designed to build the foundational technical, operational and safety competence required for progression toward the Hydrographic Surveyor role. You will work under supervision while gaining exposure to survey planning, equipment setup, field acquisition, remote operations, data checks, processing support, reporting, GIS deliverables, safety management and project handovers.
Progression will be supported through supervised project experience, formal training, competency logbooks, supervisor feedback and demonstrated ability to work safely, follow procedures, maintain data quality, recognise and escalate issues, and contribute reliably to project outcomes.

Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
