About the opportunity
Play a pivotal role in advancing child and family mental health through a unique combination of clinical practice, supervision and research. Based within the Child Behaviour Research Clinic (CBRC), you will contribute to innovative research initiatives and clinical trials while providing evidence-based assessment, intervention and supervision services. Working closely with researchers, clinicians and students, this role offers the opportunity to influence both research outcomes and clinical practice in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work closely with researchers, clinicians, provisional psychologists and external placement coordinators to support clinical and research activities
contribute to the design, delivery and management of research initiatives and clinical trials
support grant application activities, research funding initiatives and the dissemination of research outcomes
provide specialist clinical supervision and mentoring to provisional psychologists and clinical psychology trainees
manage an independent clinical caseload, including comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and families
undertake data analysis, interpretation and reporting to inform research findings and operational decision-making
About you
clinical psychologist registered with AHPRA and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia
board-approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and experience providing clinical supervision to provisional psychologists, registrars or general psychologists
demonstrated experience providing assessment and evidence-based interventions for children and families experiencing behavioural or mental health difficulties
experience working in a research-intensive environment and contributing to the design, delivery and management of research projects or clinical trials
demonstrated experience analysing, managing and disseminating research data, including conducting literature reviews and contributing to research outputs
experience coordinating research funding activities, grant applications and stakeholder relationships within a higher education, healthcare or research setting
