Industrial Electrician

About the role

FSI Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. We work on industrial electrical installations, control systems, machinery, switchboards and plant projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas. The successful applicant will be involved in industrial electrical installations and maintenance, installation and wiring of control panels and switchboards, motor, pump and machinery wiring, PLC and control system wiring, installation of cable tray, conduit and industrial cabling, fault finding and electrical troubleshooting, testing and commissioning of industrial equipment, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, working on new industrial projects and existing plant, and working safely and in accordance with Australian Standards and site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Industrial electrical installations and maintenance

• Installation and wiring of control panels and switchboards

• Motor, pump and machinery wiring

• PLC and control system wiring

• Installation of cable tray, conduit and industrial cabling

• Fault finding and electrical troubleshooting

• Testing and commissioning of industrial equipment

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

• Working on new industrial projects and existing plant

• Working safely and in accordance with Australian Standards and site requirements

About you

• Current Australian Electrical Licence – essential

• Minimum 5 years' industrial electrical experience

• Strong industrial electrical installation and fault-finding skills

• Experience with motors, control circuits and industrial machinery

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Current driver's licence

• Experience with PLC systems, VSDs, MCCs, switchboards and industrial control systems will be highly regarded
