Assistant Coordinator/3iC/Senior Educator

About the role

Working alongside our Director and Senior Team, you'll play an important role in the day to day running of our service, helping lead and support a team of around 14 educators. This is more than just a supervision role. We're looking for someone who wants to take initiative, contribute ideas, build strong relationships and develop their leadership skills. For the right person, there is a clear pathway into a permanent leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the Director and Senior Team with the smooth operation of the service

• Helping lead, support and mentor our team of educators

• Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children

• Building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider school community

• Contributing to programming, planning, reflection and evaluation

• Supporting administration, compliance and quality assurance processes

• Helping with resources, shopping and maintaining an organised and well stocked service

• Taking initiative and identifying ways we can continue to improve our service

• Participating in professional development and training as you continue to grow your skills

About you

• Experienced in childcare or OSHC, with 2+ years of experience highly regarded

• Confident working with primary school aged children

• Reliable, organised and able to take initiative

• A strong communicator who can work well with both children and adults

• Comfortable taking responsibility and supporting other educators

• Passionate about providing high quality care and meaningful experiences for children

• Keen to develop their leadership and professional skills

• Able to contribute positively to a team environment

• Current Working With Children Check (essential)

• First Aid, CPR and Child Protection qualifications, relevant qualifications and a current driver's licence (highly regarded)
