These opportunities will suit experienced rail project leaders who can work across complex operational and infrastructure environments, manage senior stakeholders, support strong governance, and help drive safe, practical delivery outcomes.

We are recruiting for three senior rail project opportunities:

• Project Director: Lead a portfolio of strategic rail projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, provide expert delivery advice, and lead high-level stakeholder engagement across TfNSW, Sydney Trains and related delivery partners.
  
• Program Manager: Lead program planning, governance, reporting, risk management, schedules, budget tracking and delivery quality for operational rail programs, including safe access and maintenance-related initiatives.
  
• Senior Project Manager: Manage the delivery of significant rail infrastructure works, including brownfield rail environments, contractor coordination, safety, environmental considerations, cost control and project schedules.
  

About you

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Experience in rail, railway operations, transport infrastructure or a similar complex environment
  
• Previous exposure to TfNSW, Sydney Trains, Sydney Metro or similar transport agencies
  
• Strong project or program delivery experience
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  
• Experience with governance, reporting, risk, schedules and budgets
  
• Experience in brownfield rail infrastructure, maintenance access, asset scheduling, delivery coordination or live railway environments will be highly regarded.
  

Contract details

• Location: Sydney CBD 
  
• Start: ASAP, pending checks
  
• Duration: 5–6 month contracts
  
• Rates: $1,190 to $1,500 per day inclusive of Super, depending on role and experience
