Bega Dental Practice is seeking an Associate Dentist to join our team from January 2027, on the beautiful Sapphire Coast of New South Wales. We welcome applications from dentists at any stage of their career, and we are set up to properly support clinicians in their first years of practice. Final-year students are encouraged to register their interest now.

You'll start with a full book. Established over 25 years ago, our practice has an excellent local reputation and a loyal patient base that continues to grow. You will take over the books of a full-time clinician who is relocating overseas — currently booked over two months ahead — so you begin with steady income and continuity of care rather than building from scratch. New patients are added on top of this.

You won't be left on your own. You'll work alongside three experienced dentists in a collegial environment. The owner dentist is available throughout the day for case discussion, second opinions, and hands-on assistance at the chair — not just in your first week, but for as long as it's useful. Early on, your appointment times are extended so you can work carefully and unhurried, and you'll have dedicated chairside assistance for every patient. We also support your ongoing professional development with an additional leave allowance for CPD.

Broad clinical exposure. You'll gain extensive hands-on experience across oral surgery, rotary endodontics, removable prosthodontics, and fixed prosthodontics including implant restorations, with the opportunity to observe more advanced procedures such as implant surgery. In a country practice you see a genuine variety of cases early — the kind of breadth that takes years to accumulate in a metropolitan setting.

A well-equipped, modern workplace. Our QIP-accredited practice features spacious, modern surgeries equipped with CBCT/OPG, intra-oral scanner, DSLR and intra-oral cameras, nitrous oxide sedation, soft tissue laser, NSK Surgic Pro 2, and a Straumann implantology set-up. Our team is relaxed, friendly, and genuinely enjoys working together.

Real work-life balance. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. No weekends, no after-hours, no on-call.

Remuneration. 40% commission, inclusive of superannuation and net of laboratory fees. The earning potential is well above average, and we would be happy to discuss indicative income details during your interview.

Current AHPRA registration as a general dentist, or eligibility to register by late January 2027

A caring, patient-centred approach and good communication skills

Willingness to learn and to ask questions — we'd far rather you asked

Prior clinical experience is valued but not required
