The Shire is seeking a motivated and hands-on individual to join our Holiday Parks Team and play an important role in maintaining the Shire's popular Turners and Flinders Bay Holiday Parks and Alexandra Bridge Camping Ground, located in the picturesque Augusta area.

Our Grounds and Facilities Officers are highly valued members of the Holiday Parks Team, helping to ensure our visitors enjoy clean, safe and well-maintained facilities throughout their stay.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for a range of general hands-on duties, including:

• Cleaning and maintaining park amenities and facilities
• Gardening and grounds maintenance
• General repairs and maintenance
• Operating and maintaining gardening and grounds equipment
• Supporting the day-to-day presentation and upkeep of the Holiday Parks and Camping Ground
• Assisting with the maintenance and operation of sewage systems

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to undertake physically demanding manual work
• Experience servicing and maintaining amenities, grounds and gardens
• Experience operating and maintaining gardening and grounds equipment
• An understanding of sewage systems
• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service and maintaining quality facilities for our visitors

Job Title: Grounds and Facilities Officer - Holiday Parks 

Location: Augusta, WA

Employment Type: Continuing, Full-Time 

Salary: IA Level 3 $72,289 - $79,814 per annum (26/27 IA rates) 

Key selection criteria

• Experience in landscaping or similar in commercial setting.
  
• Experience in maintaining grounds and facilities in commercial setting.
  
• Knowledge of wastewater / sewerage systems and basic plumbing skills.
  
• Working within safe work practices and suitable fitness for work.
