State Manager Traffic - NSW

Evolution is seeking an ambitious, commercially astute and people focused leader to lead its well-established NSW Operations. This is a critical operational role representing the business in NSW and we're looking for a skilled Manager to grow our NSW operations.

Reporting and working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the NSW operations. You will oversee Supervisors, Allocator, Office Support Staff and Planning team members. You are responsible for the allocation of personnel and equipment to adequately meet client requirements and will also be responsible for ensuring all necessary plans and permits are in place prior to commencing jobs and ensuring our services are delivered in a safe and professional manner. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Directing, overseeing and contributing to staff management, motivation and training, recruitment and staff morale to ensure positive employee and client relationships.
• Working with the General Manager to develop new revenue opportunities through proactive engagement with new and prospective clients;
• Ensuring the profitability of NSW operations and meeting revenue targets
• Build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships internally and externally;
• Working with the General Manager to implement long and short term plans for growth across the region;
• Driving and maintaining best practice organisational policies and procedures
• Proactively participating in Operations team meetings;
• Ensuring scheduled work complies with legal requirements, industry regulations, company and client procedures;
• Planning, scheduling and executing the efficient rostering of staff in accordance with customer requests by evaluating requirements;
• Ensure that the Work Health & Safety policy is adhered to and implement corrective actions as required;
•  Ensuring adequate supervision of Traffic Controllers and the delivery of exceptional service to clients; 

What you will bring to the role:

• Traffic Management industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing client relationships.
• Understanding of client contractual requirements
• Proven ability to lead a team, drive performance and provide exceptional service.
• An understanding of financial and business development principles to drive the profitability of the depot.
• Experience within a blue-collar environment
