Great time to join fitness opportunities of Hume City Council residents by effectively and efficiently carrying out the tasks necessary to provide high quality group fitness classes at Hume City Council Leisure facilities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Always demonstrate enthusiasm and enjoyment at having the pleasure of instructing each class.
• Welcome participants prior to and/or at the commencement of each class by name if possible and always with a smile, indicating you hope they will enjoy the class.
• Mark attendance ensuring you acknowledge any new participants to class by introducing yourself and finding out something about the new participant.
• Ensure that all classes commence at the scheduled time and finish in accordance with the duration period for the type of class being provided.
• At the end of each class thank all participants for their participation and effort and indicate that you’re looking forward to seeing them again.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• Proven ability to effectively instruct varying types and levels of fitness classes.
• Ability to actively monitor safety and wellbeing of participants.
• Ability to communicate effective safety cues and instructions.
• Ability to address appropriately to any queries or issues accordingly.

Required Certifications & Qualifications:

• Qualifications in one or more of following disciplines will be required: o Certificate 3 in fitness, Group Exercise Leader Certification, Pilates Certification o Current Les Mills Certification.
• Aqua Leaders Exercise Accreditation
• Certifications in all pre-choreographed formatted classes
• Current First Aid Certificate HTLAID011
• Current CPR Certificate HLTAID009
• Current Driver’s License
