Heavy Vehicle Detailer

An opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Detailer has become available with our well-established hire company, supplying equipment to the Mining, Civil and Construction industries.

Based at our Pinjarra office, you'll join a small, fast-paced team supporting our business to meet and exceed client expectations.

Total Plant Hire is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and determined Heavy Vehicle Detailer, ideally for an immediate start, on a casual basis with the view of permanency for the right applicant. You will be able to work Monday to Friday with a 7:00am start, day shifts only, so you're home each night.

A competitive flat rate of $35 per hour is on offer, based on experience and knowledge in detailing.

Main Responsibilities/duties will include:

• Detailing and cleaning of interior and exterior of earthmoving equipment, on highway trucks and light vehicles to return to pre hire condition.

• Able to work under pressure and on a tight schedule, whilst delivery a high standard level of workmanship.

• Identify any issues and communicate these with Workshop Supervisor.

• Preform vehicle checks and maintenance reporting.

• Delivery/collection of vehicles and trucks based on operational requirements.

• Delivery/collection of parts and general goods when required.

• Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good working order.

• Assisting the tradesmen with various tasks and or yard hand work as required.

Requirements:

• Current valid Driver's License

• Previous detailing experience is essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• An understanding of WHS regulations.

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail and takes pride of their workmanship.

• Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment.

• Be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects.

Desirable but not essential 

• HR and forklift license desirable - or willingness to obtain one within 6 months.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and must complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen.  A current Police Clearance may also be required.
