About the Position

The Airport Reporting Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of Onslow Airport through the inspection, reporting and maintenance of airside and landside facilities. Reporting to the Manager Airport Services, you will play a critical role in maintaining aviation safety, security and environmental standards while supporting airport operations and emergency response activities.

This position is responsible for:

• Conducting daily inspections of runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting systems and airport grounds to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinating and overseeing airside activities while maintaining aviation safety standards.
• Undertaking minor maintenance and repairs to airport infrastructure including pavements, fencing, lighting and drainage systems.
• Managing wildlife hazard and vegetation control programs to minimise aviation risks.
• Maintaining airport security and access control in accordance with aviation security requirements.
• Participating in emergency responses, exercises and incident management activities.
• Maintaining airport grounds, facilities, vehicles and plant equipment.
• Liaising with stakeholders to coordinate operational activities, maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working on a 7-day roster, including after-hours and on-call duties as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in airport or aerodrome operations, ideally in an Aerodrome Reporting Officer capacity.
• Strong knowledge of aerodrome safety, compliance and emergency response requirements.
• Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) Certificate from an approved authority.
• Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) or ability to obtain.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication, reporting and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a small team environment.
• Flexibility to work outdoors in varying conditions and participate in rostered and on-call arrangements.
