About the Role

Reporting to the Manager - Finance, this Senior Management Accountant role will provide reporting to key stakeholders, a broad range of management and financial accounting, financial modelling and general commercial support to the Surface Mining Australia business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including attending to the month-end close process.
• Analyse financial data to monitor costs, identify variances, and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure all financial records comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Attend to Balance Sheet reconciliations for the legal entity.
• Participate in regular project and team meetings to improve understanding of the operations and business.

What You'll Bring

• CPA or CA qualification
• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience with exposure to medium sized public companies
• Strong management accounting and financial modelling skills
• Experience utilizing SAP4hana software
• Flexibility to travel occasionally to further develop company stakeholder relationships
• Experience within Surface Mining Operations (preferred)
