About the role DT Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Control Systems Engineer to join our Rail Systems team based in our Melbourne Head Office. Reporting to the Design Manager – Control Systems, you'll play a key role in the design, development, verification and testing of software applications and control systems that support major rail infrastructure projects across Australia. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you'll contribute to the delivery of innovative, high-quality control system solutions from concept through to testing and commissioning. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team and work on nationally significant rail projects while continuing to develop your technical expertise in rail control systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain control system software and applications to meet project and product specifications Develop system testing and validation procedures while supporting testing and commissioning activities Prepare technical documentation, design reports and engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle Investigate and resolve system defects while recommending improvements to system performance and reliability Collaborate with project teams, clients and stakeholders to resolve technical queries and support successful project delivery Ensure designs comply with project requirements, industry standards and DT Infrastructure quality processes About You Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline Minimum three years' experience in control systems, rail systems or software engineering environments Experience programming in C#, C++, Python or similar languages, with knowledge of SQL, XML or user interface development Understanding of industrial communication protocols, OT networks and control system architecture Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering innovative engineering solutions Why work for DTI Competitive pay that reflects your contribution: We reward performance and impact, with our remuneration benchmarked to market.
