Sales Consultant

For over 50 years Dowdens Pumping and Water Treatment have been assisting the local community with all their water equipment needs.

Our Sales Consultants are pivotal in helping us achieve a positive experience for every client - via face to face, phone or email. You will have the opportunity to learn all things pump and water treatment orientated - filtration, irrigation systems, pipelines, pool parts and pump components providing a great foundation for a long term career which will always be in demand.

Key Responsibilities 

• Welcome clients into the showroom and assist with queries to help them find the right solution.

• Prepare detailed and professional quotes for products and solutions; and manage these through to completion

• Point of sale processing (EFT, Cash) and processing of Account Sales

• Keep customers informed of order progress, delivery timeframes, and any potential delays.

• Completing stocktakes and general housekeeping to maintain stock levels, product infomation and pricing.

• Contribute to Department and Branch Sales targets.
  

Eligibility 

• Current Drivers Licence

• Have a proactive approach to following up clients and sales opportunities

• The ability to manage phone calls, emails and quotes accurately

• Have a keen interest in learning and working with hands on products and solutions

• Must be reliable and possess a friendly and positive attitude to working as a team

Sales experience from any industry based backgrounds (electrical, plumbing, trades, mechanical, maintenance) is great, but not essential - we'll teach you everything you need to know!

Employment and salary package will be negotiated based on experience, competence and performance.
