Junior Development Manager

ATG Dev is a third-generation private organisation that owns, develops and manages a diversified property portfolio and forms part of the wider ATG Group of companies. Based in Brisbane, the group's main focus is identifying, developing & delivering quality commercial projects for nationally branded tenants across Australia. With a hands-on approach across the full development lifecycle our team works from acquisition and feasibility through design, approvals, construction and project completion.

ATG Dev is seeking a Junior Development Manager to join our growing development team.

Working closely with the Project Delivery Manager and Acquisitions team, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across the full development lifecycle – from feasibility and design through approvals, construction and settlement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with development experience who is ready to take on greater project responsibility, build their commercial capability and continue progressing their career in property development.

• Assist in managing projects across the development lifecycle, from feasibility and design development through to approvals, construction coordination and settlement.

• Prepare and maintain development feasibilities, cashflow models and financial reporting.

• Coordinate consultant teams including architects, engineers, town planners and specialist advisors.

• Assist with managing statutory approvals across local and state authorities, including council liaison, RFIs and conditions management.

• Work closely with consultants and key project stakeholders to identify value engineering and project optimisation opportunities.

• Monitor project budgets, programs and construction milestones, identifying and escalating risks and opportunities.

• Assist with construction interface activities including PCG meetings, bank drawdowns, variation claims and design queries.

• Support the management of defects, variations and construction close-out through to final account.

• Maintain clear project reporting and documentation throughout the development process.

• 3–5 years' experience in development management or a related property development role.

• A good understanding of the development lifecycle, from feasibility and approvals through to construction and settlement.

• Experience preparing or managing development feasibility models and cashflow forecasts.

• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify project risks, opportunities and areas for value optimisation.

• An understanding of Queensland planning and approval frameworks.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with consultants, contractors, authorities and other project stakeholders.

• Strong communication, reporting and organisational skills.

• A structured, proactive and detail-oriented approach to your work.

• Experience within a developer, developer-builder or consulting environment will be highly regarded.

• Experience with EstateMaster or strong Excel capability will be advantageous.

• A background in architecture, design or town planning will also be well regarded but is not essential.
