Location: Flexible based at Chatswood, North Parramatta or Penrith, with regular travel required to Western Sydney, Northern Sydney, Blacktown and Nepean Blue Mountains

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Enhanced Services portfolio across Western and Northern Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

You will oversee the operational delivery of Youth Enhanced Support Services (YESS), Uniting Adult Mental Health Service (UAMHS) and Blacktown Medicare Mental Health Centre (BMMHC), supporting high-quality, accessible and recovery-focused mental health services for young people and adults.

Working closely with the General Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead people, strengthen service performance and drive operational excellence across multiple locations.

About the Enhanced Services Portfolio

Our Enhanced Services portfolio provides multidisciplinary, community-based mental health support across the region:

YESS – early intervention and outreach mental health services delivered across Western Sydney, Northern Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains, supporting children, young people and their families experiencing, or at risk of developing, mental health challenges.

UAMHS – multidisciplinary mental health support for adults, including assessment, care coordination, psychological interventions, psychiatry and peer support.

BMMHC – accessible community-based mental health support for people in Western Sydney, connecting people with appropriate clinical and ongoing community supports.

As Operations Manager, you will: 

• Lead the operational management of YESS, UAMHS and BMMHC across multiple locations.

• Provide strong people leadership and support the development of multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive service quality, compliance, clinical governance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor service performance, outcomes and operational priorities.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with the General Manager to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and recovery-oriented culture across the portfolio.
• Lead effectively across multiple sites, balancing operational priorities and service needs.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Demonstrated leadership experience within mental health and/or community services.
• Strong understanding of community mental health and recovery-oriented practice.
• Excellent operational, people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead across multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of service quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
• A collaborative, solution-focused and values-led approach to leadership.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid Driver’s licence

Highly Desirable:

• Relevant clinical qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Allied Health.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary mental health teams and/or community-based programs.
