Our Hotel

Set within the beautifully preserved 169-year-old sandstone façade that once housed Sydney’s Fairfax newspaper empire and the Bank of New South Wales, Paradox Sydney honours the rich heritage of its landmark building while embracing a contemporary expression of five-star hospitality. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the CBD, the hotel places guests moments from Sydney’s most celebrated dining, shopping and cultural precincts.

Reimagined in 2025 as Paradox Sydney, this iconic address marks a new chapter for the property. The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pastry Chef, to join the culinary team at our five-star luxury hotel. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who values precision, presentation, and consistency, and who thrives in an environment where excellence is the standard.

As part of our kitchen brigade, you will contribute to exceptional dining experiences across restaurants, in-room dining, banquets, and high-profile events, working closely with senior chefs to uphold the hotel’s renowned culinary standards.

You’ll Bring:

• A completed Certificate IV in Patisserie
• Previous experience in a hotel environment will be viewed favourably
• Exceptional time management skills and being able to work well under pressure
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
• Knowledge of current food trends

Pay & Conditions

This is a Level 4 position under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award. You’ll be rostered on a rotating Monday–Sunday schedule in line with business operations.
