About the Role

Friends’ Early Learning is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team.

We have a variety of opportunities available across part-time and casual positions, with working hours that can be extended to full-time hours during school holidays to support our Vacation Care program. This provides flexibility for educators seeking consistent part-time work, casual opportunities, or additional hours during school holiday periods.

These roles are an opportunity to contribute to a welcoming, safe and engaging environment where children are supported to learn, play, develop confidence and build positive relationships.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver high-quality OSHC and Vacation Care programs that are responsive to the interests, needs and individual circumstances of children.

The successful applicants will build genuine and professional relationships with children and families, actively contribute to program planning and evaluation, and support an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and heard.

Key Focus Areas

• Build positive, caring relationships with children and families.
• Provide active supervision and support children's safety and wellbeing.
• Contribute to engaging OSHC and Vacation Care programs.
• Support inclusive practices and children with additional needs.
• Use positive and respectful behaviour guidance strategies.
• Contribute to observations, documentation and program planning.
• Support children's health, safety, dietary and allergy requirements.
• Maintain safe, clean and engaging learning environments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, children and families.
• Promote a strong child-safe culture and follow mandatory reporting requirements.
• Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

• Have knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place.
• Have a genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Are committed to professional growth and continuous improvement.
• Can undertake the inherent requirements of working in a primary school and early learning environment.
• Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration – Employment Category.
• ACECQA-approved First Aid qualification.
• Satisfactory National Police Check
