The EGHS Medical Imaging department are seeking passionate Medical Imaging Technologist’s of all experience levels to join our team. Whether you are a new graduate taking your first step into the profession, in your early career looking to develop your skills, or experienced ready for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

About Us

The Medical Imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical service by offering services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology and Theatre Imaging to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team including Medical Imaging Technologists and Sonographers supporting our 24/7 on call roster across weekdays and weekend and with support from our excellent administration staff.  EGHS also provides services to our local Medical Practitioners and the Department of Justice Corrections Centre at Ararat.

About this opportunity

• The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and 24/7 on call over weekends for CT and X-ray imaging.

• As member of this skilled and professional team you will be encouraged and supported to participate in continuous professional development programs to further consolidate your skills

• The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software.

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles

• Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities. 

About You

• Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) or recognised equivalent

• AHPRA Registration – or able/ in the process to obtain

• Victorian Department of Health Radiation Use Licence

• Demonstrated high level experience and skills in general radiography, CT, PACS and RIS

• Willingness and ability to participate in the ‘on call’ roster during the week and weekends.
